When you purchase a motorbike there are a few scenarios when it comes to your suspension...
Scenario 1: it comes with well-equipped suspension and you just need to fine-tune it to your needs
Scenario 2: your suspension internally needs an upgrade to match your weight and riding style
Scenario 3: your suspension component hardware is not suitable to your needs and should be replaced to get the best out of your motorbike
Platinum Motorcycles Melbourne offers a range of suspension upgrade options.
Do you ride motocross, enduro, hard enduro, super moto, are you an adventure rider OR are you a road rider, track day enthusiast, or road racer – these packages are suitable for all.
Our three main suspension packages are:
PMP1 EXTERNAL BASELINE PACKAGE: $225*
This is an initial set up, involving settings of SAG, pre-load, compression and rebound, geometry, ergonomics and a general chassis check and adjustment. We provide advice for improvement for your individual needs. This package includes external adjustments only, with no parts replacement or shock removal.
Customers can wait around for this and we can make adjustments with them in our workshop. Pending availability, this can also be done trackside.
PMP2 S/V INTERNAL UPGRADE PACKAGE: $950-$1950*
Level up PMP1 with a replacement of springs and shim stack valving to suit rider weight and terrain. This set up will usually involve pulling apart the suspension, replacing the springs, fine-tuning the shim stack valving, oil heights, whilst utilizing our suspension dyno and database.
Depending on the age/ use of your motorbike, this package often includes replacing the oil, seals, and bushings if required.
PMP3 REVOLUTION HARDWARE UPGRADE PACKAGE: $1950+ *
Combining package 1 & 2, the Revolution hardware upgrade package goes one step further with internal component replacement for optimal performance of your motorcycle. This involves any componentry we deem not suitable for your use and level of riding skill after a thorough consultation with you. Components such as fork cartridge kits, internal pistons, complete rear shock absorbers and much more can be upgraded here.
