Yamaha Tenere T700 Performance Upgrades & Servicing Melbourne
The beauty of the Ténéré 700 is that it’s a brilliant foundation to build on. With the right modifications and tuning, this bike becomes an absolute weapon on road and trail. Tyres, protection gear, and hauling upgrades are all worthwhile, but the real transformation comes from proper ECU tuning and a suspension setup tailored to your riding style. Add a full exhaust system with a well-sealing, free-flowing air filter and airbox, and you’ll improve power delivery, shed unnecessary weight, and boost reliability – the perfect setup for adventure riding in Australian conditions.
Dyno Tuning Packages
Stage 1 ECU Flash – Predefined flash for smoother throttle response and reliable fuelling. A great option for riders chasing consistency on the road.
Stage 2 Performance Tune – A full custom dyno tune, refining each map to suit your bike and modifications. Perfect for squeezing out maximum performance. Dyno charts included.
PMP Suspension Upgrades
Our PMP Suspension packages are designed to take the Yamaha Ténéré 700 from “capable” to “confident.” By upgrading springs, valving, and damping components, we eliminate bottoming out, improve stability under load, and give you far more control whether you’re tackling rough trails, carrying luggage, or carving through corners. Every setup is tuned to your weight, terrain, and riding style, so you get a suspension system that feels planted, predictable, and ready for anything.
Servicing Packages
Keeping your Yamaha Ténéré 700 serviced is key to reliability.
-
General Service – The T700 is due for a general service every 10,000km or annually (some countries are 7,000km). At Platinum Motorcycles we recommend every 5,000 km or 12 months (whichever comes first) if used in extreme conditions please service more regularly.
-
20,000 km Service – Includes brake fluid, coolant, and spark plugs. Brake fluid is required to be replaced every 2 years as a rule of thumb, or if needed earlier.
-
40,000 km Major Service – As above, plus valve clearance inspection and adjustment.
